AHW E-Classic

I've just 'returned home' from a mission and now I'm going to be a free person - effectively on Monday Aug 22nd 2011 I'll be a pensioner. I opt for early retirement actually. I just want to celebrate a life and spend more time on hobbies and things I like most. Don't want to think and talk about work anymore for time being....or may be forever as long as I live. Life is too short.

I'm not going to update this blog as often as before because I wanna concentrate and spend more time on the E-Classic refurbishment.

My next 'project' is to acquire a new 'big-boys toy' which is capable to do 100km/hr sprint in less than 6 seconds and 400m standing in less than 13 seconds. Soon afterwards the 'Old' faithful 308 will be kept as a family hatch.

Stay tuned.

Hi Uncle D,

Congrats for reaching this milestone! May you have many, many happy returns and may it bring you much joy and good health!

I truly appreciate the knowledge sharing that you have so openly done for the past 2 years, especially the practical advice on car ownership and DIY maintenance.

Looking forward to more updates on your blogs, whether it be 308 related or not.

There hasn't been a day in 33 years that I didn't want to come to work because I loved my job and I enjoyed working there. What a blessing to be able to say that!

I'm going to miss them all ... the fun and arguments we had at the board meetings and tea breaks...

My career was challenging, rewarding and had the opportunity to see the world even to unusual places. I did my best and I was well rewarded in kind and in friendship. I was privileged to be part of a team which achieved success that we can all be proud of.

I'm also looking forward to having the time and the freedom to pursue my hobbies and interests including writing, travel, nature-photography, motoring, mountain-biking and hanging out with family and friends.

Imagine the joy of travelling without an agenda, followed by a trip report, leisurely lunches without worrying I might be sleepy in the afternoon and no more anxious phone calls form boss and clients...

...the list could be long but the life could be short... there will be more things to do than ever be done....
