It has already been one year since AHW308 rolled out of the show room. Today the car was parked on backyard patio for general cleaning and then for photo session...

hi uncle.d

i thought the annual premium is around 3.4k++ (to insure 110k++ car). please enlighten me.

thank you in advance.

You are right if it is for a new 308T w/o NCD.

I paid less b'cos I got 30% off for the premium. I also didn't insure windscreen.

1st renewal was less than RM1.9k (valued at RM95k)

2nd renewal even less 'cos more NCD and lower car value.

3rd renewal premium will be a lot less than RM1.5k I suppose...

thnx uncle.d for the clarification. new info for me. (quite new about this things, still new in car ownership).

but i'm quite shocked on the car value on the first year (maybe not to others). 20k

another question, may i know why u didn't insure d windscreen? based on the reading from the 308 forum (autoworld), the windscreen is very pricey (4-6k, depending where to get it from), so to insure it (15% of the original price). thus the windscreen insurance is around 700++. in my opinion, that's pretty expensive (my gen2 cps windscreen insurance is only 100).

zahrawi,
I don't want to spend too much on insurance premiums. Most of my cars I kept are insured for third party only, unless still have loan to settle.

The insured amount is based on LOAN BALANCE and doesn't reflect the actual value of the car.
