Drove myPeugeot 308THP to JB Monday August 3rd and returned on 4th. Covering a total distance of 608km on just three-quarter tank of fuel [RM67.90] - lower than toll charges [RM77.40]
[Note: Full tank fuel capacity = 60 liters]Overall fuel consumption for the 608km trip was 6.3liter/100km or 15.87km/liter or 45mpg, i.e 11.34sen per km.
Taking return trip only [305km] - fuel consumption was even better because there were less traffics in the city before midday - Fuel consumption was 6.2liter/100km or 16.13 km/liter, i.e 11.16sen/km.

Note: It paid off for driving within speed limits ... not only saved fuel but I escaped THREE counts of speed-trap roadblocks [Southbound: Tangkak and Kulai; Northbound: Air Keroh], not to mention "operasi saman ekor" along the expressway. Lossa cars, especially from Singa-pura2 kena saman.

wow uncle.... superb... very economical.
Kudos to you uncle..
I've tried using auto cruise for the trip back to alor setar from kl..
managed to last about 10 to 15 minutes.. then that's it.. flooring it most of the time.. iman x cukup kuat.. hehehe
Brudders,
Speeds thrill of course but sometimes driving at speed limits on autocruise while watching scenery and other cars [and heavy vehicle] passing by can be enjoyable in a way... especially when there are speedtrap-roadblocks... along the way to-and-fro JB on last Monday/Tuesday there were THREE counts of speeding-roadblock - I would had been fined totalled up to RM900 [RM300 x 3] if I drove like I did two weeks ago - storming in heavy rain @170kph! and >200kph max on dry tarmac.

Salam Uncle,
Referring to your post on driving at 190km/h.. i do agree the car feel like "rock steady".. maybe the car had created the "wind tunnel" at speed above 180kph.. correct me if im wrong with the term..
but i'm not brave enough to maintain that speed. Once in a while maybe ok. It is very important to drive at the speed which we are comfortable with. When driving at very high speed, you can no longer be relax. 100% focus must be on the road.
Berhati-hati di jalan raya... (i know you are)
Tq uncle for the invitation. Lots, I mean loooooots of valuable info! Kudos!! Syukran!
very good consumption!!
U r right Alan. But needed courage to drive at speed limits in order to achieve the best possible fuel consumption figures especially when I forgot that I'm already a grand uncle [coz some of my nephews and nieces already got kids u know, hee heeee!]
