Not everybody knows exactly where the oil filter cartridge housing is located.
It is actually hidden underneath air intake flexible hose.
In order to locate the oil filter cartridge housing the resonator must be removed first (after detaching it from the flexible air hose).
After removing the resonator lift up the flexible hose to locate where the oil filter housing is.
Items and tools required for oil and oil filter change.
The oil filter cartridge housing can be removed with 27mm socket wrench. Oil drain plug needs 8mm allen key (not shown).

Btw, still go offshore?
Yup...cari makan uncle, I'm still keeping the lion, although I had a serious poket koyak when my turbo breakdown...thanks to KS for helping to clearing the low boost pressure and DSF.2 days ago I just change all the tyre from Michelin PS3 to Nexen 8000...it's fun car...haven't thought to change my ride even though it had given me some serious issue.
What model 308 is this procedure for as it does not appear to be a diesel version ?

I have been using Amsoil Signature 5-30W for sometime. Based on Amsoils recommandation, the oil change interveral is 15k miles/12 months for severe condition. Do you have any advice on that? I am planning to do so.

I'm using Mobil 1 and Syntium 3000 or 5000. I change the oil every 10,000km for turbo engine and 20,000km or 12month for n.a engines. I have no idea on other oils and refrain frm using them because there are many fake oils sold by direct sellers.

Sorry I think there must be a double posting on this topic. If you can check out the Amsoil page, it has quite a detail on that oil. Assuming the oil is genuine. So I am not sure if this apply to our turbo engine. Any concern?
Thanks for the info. Completed the oil change and replaced the filter. Unfortunately I'm getting a leak from the filter housing. I think I have overtightened the o-ring as it was bulging out on one side. Hand tight doesn't seem tight enough. Got a good deal on the Peugeot recommended oil - Total Quartz 5w-30 on Amazon. £27.
Hi David, did you replace the O-ring as well? New oil filter comes with an O-ring
Yes, did replace the o-ring. Realised my mistake eventually. Not used a cartridge type before and treated the ring like a gasket and placed it on the plastic shoulder instead of the groove inboard. It was never going to seal where I had it. Cheers.
Hi uncle D.can i ask where to buy the oil filter & how much does it cost?thanks a bunch!
I usually buy Peugeot spare parts from Euromotive Auto Parts near Bdr Tsk Selatan. The oil filter costs RM30+. Click HERE
I have done my oil plenty of times in my SAAB. I was shocked to see how easy mine was to do. Most European cars are more complicated than their American counterparts. It makes the oil change difficult at times because getting to the filter can be a tight squeeze. I was surprised to see that yours wasn't too hard at all. http://www.billsmithsauto.com/service.html
