Using SJ4000 as a Driving Recorder

Garmin Driving Recorder, which I had been using over the last couple of years takes up huge amount of memory storage - for instance a 32Gb micro SD is only good for around 2.5hrs of HD 720p recording - i.e approx. 1Gb for 5 minutes.

I occasionally drive between 7 to 10 hours return trip to and fro JB, Penang and Kelantan respectively. Unfortunately the whole journey can only be recorded in high definition (HD 720p) in multiple micro SD cards since Garmin driving recorder does not accept 64Gb and higher capacity memory cards.

Lately I got this insanely cheap (around US$100) 'action camera' SJCAM SJ4000 wifi.

SJ4000 records videos in *.mov format  takes up relatively small space... something like 20 minutes of HD 720p per 1Gb (4x longer than Garmin Driving Recorder video format) - i.e around 10 hrs of HD 720p video in a 32Gb micro SD card.

SJ4000 can also record full HD 1080p videos which takes up double amount of storage - approx 5 hrs of FullHD 1080p in a single 32 Gb storage.
